The mission of Community Education is to create an environment for lifelong learning which seeks citizen involvement in responding to changing needs, promotes social progress and encourages personal growth through the sharing of human resources and financial support. West Des Moines Community Education operates early childhood programs (Brighter Beginnings and Project Shine), a community service learning program (I-CARE), a continuing education program for adults (Learnwest), intramural sports for junior high and high school students, a before and after school childcare and summer daycamp program (Kids West) and summer classes for elementary school students. Community Education also organizes the use of district facilities outside of school hours, provides a wellness program for district employees and partners with the Iowa Senior Olympics.

Concept by IOWA Hearing AID Centers are located throughout central, east central, and southern Iowa and provide many options to deal with your hearing loss. It is our mission to make professional hearing services as convenient as possible for our patients and we are available to answer any questions you or your family members may have regarding your loss. There are no charges for the exams, follow up cleaning, or check ups. Our services are available even for those on fixed or low incomes.
